CEO Michael O’Leary was in Zadar yesterday. Regarded by some at the most arrogant director in Europe (so-called in today’s Jutarnji List), running arguably the most complained about airline in the world, there can be no complaining about the numbers, and Zadar has benefited enormously from the relationship in recent years, as too has Split, which is connected by bus.
O’Leary it seems is also delighted, and he expressed his satisfaction with the Zadar base, announcing that he is planning to bring half a million visitors to and from Zadar in 2016. Arrogant he may be, but what a difference to the fortunes of one airline and destination by the decision to bring his airline there.
