2015 will certainly be remembered as a great year for the Croatian tourism industry. Experts predict that by the end of the year the country will have seen about a million more tourists than in 2014. The director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Ratomir Ivicic, commented that “we have achieved excellent results in the first 8 months of the year, with a growth of 8 percent in arrivals and 6.5 percent in overnight stays. The great results continued in September. It is expected that this year will generate around a million more arrivals than last year.”
In 2014 12.9 million tourists visited Croatia and achieved just over 73 million overnight stays, this year Croatia should see closer to 14 million tourists visiting the country.
