Dalmatia is rightly famous for its rich Roman history, and the former capital of Salona and Diocletian’s Palace are among the most popular Roman attractions in the region.
But there is a new attraction which is slowly opening up to the Dalmatian hinterland – the Roman roads of Dalmatia!. As we reported for Google News, the first stretch of road was opened in December near Dugopolje, with Central Dalmatia Tourist Board director, Josko Stella – who has been a passionate promoter of the initiative – in attendance.
